Update: Foothills runners have two more legs to go in run to help women's facility

Andrew Morton, left, and John MacKenzie will be running a 4x4x48 charity run in Okotoks on March 5-7, fromthe Econo Lodge, which will be putting them up for the night. The run is a fundraiser for Narrow Road Home in High River, which helps women struggling with addiction, domestic violence, mental health issues, emotional disturbances, life crisis or abuse.

Andrew Morton of Okotoks and High River's John MacKenzie finished their 10th four-mile leg of the 4x4x48 charity run at 9 a.m. on March 7. 

The run consists of having to run four miles every four hours for 48 hours -- a total of 48 miles. Proceeds from the pair's run go to the Narrow Road Home, a faith-centred residential facility in High River that assists women who have faced drug, alcohol, abuse and other issues.

Morton and MacKenzie start their final two legs of the run at noon and 4 p.m. on March 7 starting at the Econo Lodge in Okotoks.

Runners are invited to join them.
