High River RCMP are looking to the public to help recover a pick up truck and two ski-doos stolen from a rural property near Cayley.
The vehicles and two saddles were stolen from two sheds on the property sometime during the overnight period of Aug. 14
The thieves stole a silver 2004 GMC Sierra pick up truck with license number CAG 331, as well as a 2010 Ski-doo Summit Everest 800R and a 2015 Ski-doo Summit SP 800R RER. Both snow machines had a rack attached to the back and each held a jerry can.
In addition to the vehicles, the thieves also made off with two roping saddles made by Eamor’s Custom Saddlery in High River. One is light brown with a basket stamped, padded seat and rubber around the horn. The second is dark brown with a basket weave and minimal scarring on the seat.
High River RCMP Sgt. Brent Hawker said an older black GMC flat deck pick up truck was seen in the area the night of the theft and the previous night.
He said they would like to determine whether it was involved in the theft and he encouraged the vehicle’s owners to contact RCMP if it was not involved.
Hawker asked anyone who may have any information regarding this theft to contact the High River RCMP.
He encouraged people to keep an eye out for suspicious activity.
“As in all types of crimes, the police can’t be everywhere at once so we encourage people to be vigilant and certainly if they see anything suspicious give us a call,” he said.
