Suspect sought in High River armed robbery

Police say the suspect brandished handgun before making off with store goods

Police are investigating after a man robbed a High River convenience store at gunpoint near midnight Thursday morning.

At approximately 12:20 a.m. on April 28, a man entered a Circle K in High River, asking the clerk for cigarettes.

When the employee turned his back, the suspect pulled a black handgun, pointing it at the clerk before grabbing three items and leaving the store gun in hand.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned male with a slim build, with close to shoulder-length blonde hair, approximately 18-22 years of age. He was wearing a black sweater, black ball cap with red writing and logo, and red pants with a red and black backpack.
