Lauren Ingalls, Westwinds Communities chief administrative officer, said its rental assistance program provides immediate, meaningful support.

Westwinds Communities' rental assistance program is continuing to support low-income individuals and families in the Foothills.

The program helps alleviate the burden of rent expenses for those struggling to afford adequate housing.

The program provides successful applicants a monthly rent supplement ranging from $75 to $800, and supports individuals and families who have resided within the boundaries of Foothills County, the County of Vulcan and the MD of Willow Creek north of Highway 519 for the past six consecutive months.

Successful applicants are considered based on requirements such as household size, income, and location.

"We recognize the ongoing, increasing and very real need for affordable housing options, especially for those facing financial hardships," said Lauren Ingalls, chief administrative officer, Westwinds Communities.

"Through our rental assistance program, we hope to provide immediate, meaningful support. We want to ensure everyone in our community has access to quality, affordable housing."

Westwinds continues to accept applications for immediate support to successful applicants. Visit westwindscommunities.ca for further information, including frequently asked questions.
