Police seeking man for indecent exposure

Okotoks RCMP is seeking public assistance to identify a male suspected of exposing himself to staff at a retail store.

On both Jan. 3 and Jan. 9, police responded to calls that a male had exposed himself outside of Reitman's clothing store to employees inside. The suspect then departed walking east.

"We have a very active investigation," said Cpl. Cory Forsyth. "We're just looking for if the pubic witnessed anything."

According to Cpl. Forsyth, the events occurred near the end of business hours.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 50 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a medium build, dark eyes, and a beard.

Cpl. Forsyth suggests that if someone is confronted with a person committing an indecent act or exposing themselves, they should create distance, immediately call 9-1-1, and not approach the subject.
