Okotoks RCMP are cautioning parents to keep track of their children after a suspicious male approached two youth in a park July 22.

A man in his forties came into the Cimarron Close park and asked what game the two children were playing before being frightened away when another adult entered the park with a dog.

The suspect is described as having a brown and grey beard, and medium-length black hair with grey patches. He is approximately five-foot 10-inches tall with a heavy build.

He was driving a red truck from the mid-1990s, painted black at the bottom of the body with a number of paint chips. The make and model are unknown.

Okotoks RCMP are reminding parents to be mindful of their children’s whereabouts and to teach them how to handle being approached by a stranger.
