Okotoks three-year-old up for Great Canadian Cycle Challenge

A three-year-old boy was the Leader of the Pack.

Kolten Davis, 3, pedalled approximately 4.8km in about 26 minutes with 19 members of the Bikers are Buddies motorcycle club behind him on Aug. 27.

It’s all part of the cycling toddler’s effort to raise money to ‘fight kids’ cancer ‘ through the Great Canadian Cycle Challenge.

Kolten started his trek from the Okotoks Recreation Centre, went west on Milligan Drive down 32 Street and then a hard right on N. Railway before ending his trip with a well-deserved ice cream cone at Big Dipper.

Kolten’s goal is to ride 200km in the month of August. He should make it, said proud mom Tasha Davis.

He has surpassed his financial goal of raising $2,000 and is about $250 short of $2,500 — which would earn him a cool Spiderman cycling shirt.

Kolten is riding for his 11-year-old cousin Brooklyn, who lost an eye to cancer. To donate to Kolten’s ride click here.
