An Okotoks man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover on Monday night.
Emergency services responded to the accident at approximately 6:33 p.m. on March 14 at 274 Ave. and 112 St. E., just south of Dunbow road.
Stephen Hofmann, 33, was traveling westbound on 274 Ave. when he lost control of SUV and it rolled, landing on its roof.
Hofmann was the only occupant of the vehicle and was transported to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance in serious condition. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital and died at 3:30 a.m. March 15.
The highway at 274 Ave. and 112 St. E. were closed until about 9:45 p.m. Monday night while RCMP conducted an investigation.
“At this time, alcohol and drugs are suspected as the cause, but we are still waiting for the toxicology report from the hospital,” said Okotoks RCMP Sgt. Sukh Randhawa.
RCMP are continuing to investigate the incident.
