Okotoks Elks host their first farmers' market

Market an early hit in downtown core

A new-born Elks' initiative is already standing on its own.

The first Okotoks Elks Club Farmers' Market was held July 4 and within one hour it had 200 patrons visit the various tables and displays.

Customer were kept physically distant and their hands were sanitized as they went through the door to respect COVID-19 protocols.

There were traditional vegetable and fruits outside the hall while inside plenty of food was available.

The first floor of the Elks Hall was dedicated to a fine arts display.

The market will be back next Saturday at 11 a.m. in front of the Elks Hall on Elizabeth Street.
