Community members got to take in the views before having a few brews last weekend.
A collaboration between Hub Town Brewing and Okotoks-based Calgary Helicopter Tours, 'Brews and Views' took to the skies on March 16 and 17.
Through the partnership, customers got to take part in a 10- to 12-minute helicopter flight over Foothills County, including Okotoks, the Sheep River and the Big Rock. The flight came with a $20 Hub Town gift certificate.
Calgary Helicopter Tours owner Jacki Krsa said it was the company's first foray into giving tours to the community after five years of professional helicopter operation.
Krsa also owns Foothills Helicopter Training Academy and Exploration Helicopters.
Krsa said 'Brews and Views' showed her and husband Mike Holcroft, who flies for Exploration Helicopters, the demand for helicopter tours in the Foothills, adding the couple is looking forward to doing more in the near future.
Calgary Helicopter Tours is located at the Okotoks Air Ranch Airport.
