At tonight's Okotoks Oilers game Zach Roe, husband of Tara Roe, accompanied by his children Lennon and Louis, as well as Tara's parents Brenda and Mark Smith and sister Tami Spiropoulos, was presented with $3,300 worth of Sobeys gift cards by Oilers captain Carter Huber and assistant captain Kyle Gordon on behalf of the Oilers and a cheque for $10,457 by Jay Brockhoff (far right) on behalf of SECURE Energy Services Inc. at Pason Centennial Arena on Nov. 4.
The $3300 was raised during a memorial game for Tara Roe following the tragic incident in Las Vegas – prior to the event, Secure Energy had offered to match the funds raised, then proceeded to top up that amount.
