Responders were able to extinguish a blaze after a semi trailer caught fire at the Aldersyde truck stop around noon on Oct. 10.
According to Okotoks fire captain Colin Sager, the semi truck experienced a tire blowout on Highway 2, and as the driver managed to pull into the truck stop, the wheel caught fire and began to engulf the trailer.
Crews from Okotoks, High River, and Foothills Fire Departments attended the incident.
