This year’s Picnic at the Piano series continues today (Wednesday, Aug. 16) on the lawn of the Okotoks Art Gallery.
Carla Humphreys of Music Central will be joined by ‘friends’ for a free, family-friendly concert from noon to 1 p.m.
Music Central is Okotoks’ only music studio and has been bringing music into local homes for 29 years. The studio’s goal is to provide everything needed to complete an ARCT in any instrument for the serious student or just to learn music for your own enjoyment.
Sponsored by the Town of Okotoks and the Okotoks Arts Council, the series encourages music lovers to bring a picnic lunch and blanket to enjoy live music on the art gallery lawn.
The series continues next month when Madeline Langdon performs on Wednesday, Sept. 20.
This year's series also featured performances by Steve Fletcher, Tricia Edwards and Brettyn Rose.
