The Okotoks Recreation Centre will be the place to be May 31 if a person wants to work up a sweat or learn how to live a healthy life.
The Okotoks Fitness and Wellness Fair will feature two main events at the recreation centre, an all-day symposium that costs $60 to attend, and a trade fair that is free.
The trade fair runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature local wellness businesses and services.
Free mini-fitness sessions will also be offered during the trade show, allowing active people a chance to try workouts such as zumba, kickboxing and spin.
The symposium offers participants an array of panels led by experts focusing on topics that fall under five general areas: fitness, natural health, mind/body, body mechanics and nutrition. Go to www.okotoks.ca/WellnessFair.aspx to register for the Fitness and Wellness Symposium, which will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The keynote speaker, Michelle Cederberg, kicks off the symposium at 8:45 a.m. on May 31 with a presentation titled, “Energy now! Small steps to an energetic life.”
