Emergency crews responded to a fatal multi-vehicle collision on southbound Highway 2A near 306 Avenue north of Okotoks Wednesday evening.
According to Okotoks RCMP Corporal Korey Crerar, the collision involved two pickup trucks and one sedan at around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 27
He confirmed that there was one male dead on scene.
A press release issued by the RCMP Thursday night has confirmed that this was a 32-year-old male from Calgary. The driver of the other truck, another 32-year-old male, was transported to Foothills General Hospital in serious condition. The driver of the sedan, a 47-year-old male, was not injured.
"We're in the process of an unfolding event that we're still investigating," said Cpl. Crerar.
As of press time, the RCMP collision reconstructionist had not completed the investigation, so the cause of the collision is still unknown, and no charges have been laid at this time.
