OKOTOKS — Western Wheel reporter Tammy Rollie joined KT Event's Katie Fournell in sampling the unique variations of delectable hot chocolate offered by local businesses during the Okotoks Hot Chocolate Festival, which runs Feb. 12 to 22.
Here is what we had to say about Sweetgrass Deli's Crazy Cow:
Description: This hot chocolate, topped with whipped cream, chocolate powder, sprinkles and a cherry, is not just a drink it’s a meal. Sweetgrass serves this chocolately beverage with waffles dipped in chocolate and decorated with colourful sprinkles.
Katie: This is something you would see in a ’50s diner. The waffles really soak up the hot chocolate, making it moist and chocolatey.
Tammy: The colourful sprinkles really brighten up this hot chocolate and the waffle is a great addition to this sweet and savoury drink.
Cost: $4.95
