Offering from the Okotoks Market

Our Family Farm is fresh for the picking at Okotoks Farmers' Market.
Our Family Farm
Katelyn Corkin and Laura Law, farm attendants with Our Family Farm, showcase a variety of vegetables fresh from the garden at the Okotoks Farmers' Market.

A fruitful growing season means there’s plenty of great picks at Our Family Farm.

This family-owned business, also known as Barrett’s Berries, just west of Okotoks has an abundance of certified organic saskatoons, raspberries, beets, carrots, zucchini, garlic, scallions, onions and herbs to choose from as a vendor at the Okotoks Farmers' Market.

Owner John Barrett says they’ve been organic since day one.

“We never used pesticides and herbicides because I want decent food for myself and my family,” he said. “The reality is people want local food. They want to know the farmer and where their food comes from.”

The Okotoks Farmers’ Market is open Fridays from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. north of Okotoks off of Highway 2A. The last day of the market is Sept. 27.
