Young artist reveals her country side in fibre art and paintings at the Millarville Farmers' Market.

Millarville artist Bethany Harris is showcasing her talent with paint and fibre arts at the Millarville Farmers' Market.

A Millarville artists is not feeling sheepish about her talents.

Twenty-seven-year-old Bethany Harris has been drawing crowds at the Millarville Farmers’ Market for years with her felting kits, crafts and wall hangings, all made of wool from her family’s flock of Shetland sheep.

Most of the items boast the animals’ original colour of black, brown, grey and beige, although Harris hand-dyes some products. She also sells wool for knitting and spinning.

In addition to Harris’ selection of wool products, she also sells her landscape and livestock paints in acrylic and watercolour, from printed cards to canvas wall-hangings, as well as three children’s books that she illustrated.

Check out Harris’ collection at the Millarville Farmers’ Market, which runs Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Millarville Racetrack.
