Students need fair wage for post-secondary school

RE: Wage reduction hits students

If you are old enough to vote then you are indirectly responsible for the decisions that are being made on your behalf in Edmonton and Ottawa.

Is it not true that a youngster going to school full time and working either full or part time, is the definition of the “hard working, up by his/her own bootstraps” ideal that we admire so much? Then why is the government singling out that group of unusually ambitious people for punishment?

Is there anyone out there that believes that it will be possible to survive,  let alone thrive in the 21st century economy, without a post secondary education? No…? I don’t either. So, anything we do to make it harder to get that post secondary training, be it apprenticeship, trade school, two year college certification, university or even post graduate degree, is nothing short of sabotage.
