Regarding your opinion on the potential Town/MD partnership for a field house:
Oh John, we are so sorry you are still upset that the candidates you were pushing on us during the last election campaign lost. Your childish griping in the editorial column was pathetic. It is clear you really want the new baseball field on the Nexan lands, (Dawg park), that's fine John, many of us want it too, but stomping your feet or thumbing your nose at elected officials who did not receive your vote won’t make it happen. The third Monday in October was a long time ago, grow up and get over it.
The Town/MD field house initiative must come to fruition before your 'Dawg park' dream becomes a reality. But if the MD drags its feet, or does not follow through… brace yourself for a dose of reality: then the Town of Okotoks will get its field house, but alas it will be a more modest, local facility and the Dawgs may not get their free gift.
You have a platform that could be used for some positive purpose, like trying to influence the MD to get to work on this asap, for example. You may even find it cathartic to focus forward instead of reliving past defeats in your column.
