The Big Rock Singers brought their holiday show, dubbed Let Heaven and Nature Sing – A Gospel Choir Christmas Celebration, to the Foothills Centennial Centre last Saturday.
Seventy red-robed singers delivered big gospel energy during two performances, one in the afternoon and the other in the evening.
The music ranged from old-school gospel to more modern arrangements, full of high energy and filled with joy. Numbers included Joyful, Joyful from Sister Act 2 and an epic arrangement of Children Go Where I Send Thee.
The annual holiday show donates proceeds to Foothills area charities, providing $50,000 to local organizations since 2016.
The Big Rock Singers will be going to Italy in April and will perform a spring show in May, themed after an East Coast kitchen party.
