Vesta Properties will host the grand opening of Phase II of the Williamstown community on Sept. 25 at noon.

People will be able to tour 10 showhomes, enjoy a free barbecue lunch and live entertainment, win more than $5,000 in prizes and take advantage of a limited time bonus purchase package valued at up to $15,000.

“We are excited to open this new phase of Williamstown,” said Kent Sillars, president and one of the owners of Vesta Group.

“With the new release of homes, we are able to showcase a fully finished streetscape and several new housing types so people can see the attention to detail that makes Williamstown stand apart from anything else in the area.”

Williamstown is Airdrie’s newest community featuring affordable townhomes priced from the low $200s and detached homes starting from the low $300s, all nestled around more than 60 acres of open green space, including a 45-acre environmental reserve surrounding Nose Creek. There are three builders creating this new community including Vesta, Douglas Homes and Talisman.

“Residents of Williamstown just love the open green space in their own backyard,” said Curt Woodhall, senior marketing manager at Vesta Properties.

“Many use it every day for jogging, biking or just taking a quiet nature walk over the various bridges and Nose Creek. This is a unique asset to the community. It is a nice place right in your backyard.”

Woodhall said the community appeals to a variety of residents because it has homes ranging from the low $200s to $500,000.

“We have something for everyone,” he said. “From the first-time homebuyer to a move-up buyer to older people who want to downsize. We are attracting quite a mix of people and that makes for a great community.”

Sales at Williamstown have been strong with Phase I single-family lots more than 70 per cent sold and Phase I of the Trails townhomes already sold out. Phase II will also see a new release of homes and townhomes to keep up with demand.

“I think the homes are so popular because we really paid attention to the streetscapes,” said Woodhall.

“We spent a lot of time and money on the outside of the home with rich, natural colours and garages in the back. It is the attention to details that makes our community very different from anything else you will see in Airdrie.”

They have heritage-inspired architecture with a craftsman look. Stylish, heritage themes homes and streetscapes to remind you of times gone by, and a lasting respect for nature and community values.

Decorative street lanterns, stone work and wrought iron entrance, custom street signs, professionally landscaped parks and public spaces creates a distinctive community with a respect for nature and the past, said Woodhall.

Williamstown will be home to more than 1,000 families and features playgrounds, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, neighbourhood parks and a future school site.
