Rivalry renewed

It’s becoming an annual rite of passage in the AJHL playoffs.

For the fourth year in a row the Okotoks Oilers and Camrose Kodiaks will meet in the Alberta Junior Hockey League post-season with Game 1 of the second-round series opening tonight, March 15, at Pason Centennial Arena.

In the first-round of the playoffs Camrose eliminated the Calgary Mustangs in a tight five-game series that went the distance while Okotoks swept the Calgary Canucks in three games.

It should be an even match-up with just nine points separating the second-seed Okotoks with the fourth-ranked Camrose.

Game 2 of the best-of-seven series is March 16 in Okotoks before the matchup moves north to Camrose for Game 3 and 4 on March 18, 19.
