Piece of history
Let historian Kathy Coutts take you into the past in her free guided tour of the Salute to the Veterans Wall this month. The theme this month is Heroes in the Sky, which tells the stories of the local men and women who earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and of the RCAF ground crew who worked hard to keep the planes in the air. Meet at the benches half way up Veterans Way hill.

Dancing the dream
Be inspired by 10-year-old Aldersyde actor, dancer and singer Dex Drewitz in his performance as Billy in Theatre Calgary’s Billy Elliot the Musical. Set in working-class England, Billy Elliot tells the story of a young boy who dreams of trading in his boxing gloves for ballet slippers, while his widowed father struggles to understand his son’s passion for dance.
