Foothills AIM Society client Mark Thomson is inviting the public to his 25th birthday bash featuring singer/songwriter and cartoonist Ben Crane. Proceeds and donations from the event will be split between the Foothills AIM Society and the Foothills Medical Centre neonatal care unit.

Playoff hockey

The Okotoks Jr. B Bisons open the South Final on Friday.

Okotoks squares off against the Cochrane Generals in the best-of-seven playoff series with a spot in the Heritage Junior Hockey League final on the line.

Game 1 is an 8 p.m. start on March 6 at the Murray Arena. Game 2 is in Cochrane and the series returns to Okotoks for Game 3 on March 8 at 7:15 p.m.
