The Tommy Hunter show is a cancel. There was not enough interest, which seems a shame as it is supposed to be his farewell tour; he’s been round for a long time. Richard’s “Sheriff” show was well received on Thursday afternoon.

Richard’s “Sheriff” show was well received on Thursday afternoon. The social committee did an awesome job of the food and the Valentine theme was lovely. The events committee is researching “Richard & Deborah’s Season Finale” at the Marlborough Community Centre on Oct. 30. Buffet at 1 p.m. followed by a “100 years of music” variety show. It is by way of a dinner theatre. If this is something of interest to you, call Dale at 403-933-3360.

Plan to take in the scavenger hunt on Family Day. Registration begins at 10 a.m. at the Flare ‘n’ Derrick. It sounds like a lot of fun. For more information call Hazel at 403-933-4944.

Congratulations to the Millarville Racing and Ag Society (MRAS). During the recent Agricultural Society Competition, of the six entries for marketing, they won five including three seconds and two firsts). The fair book and September Track Watch took second and the Farmer’s Market book took first. The ribbons also picked up $225 in prize money. Great show for MRAS.
