News from the Valley Neighbours' Club

A bald eagle has been sighted in our skies. I wonder if it’s an early arrival or one that decided to winter in our area. Have you noticed the days are lengthening? Right, nor have I. There will be an executive meeting on Jan. 13 at 9 a.m.

Have you noticed the days are lengthening? Right, nor have I.

There will be an executive meeting on Jan. 13 at 9 a.m. This is the last executive meeting before the annual meeting on Jan. 27.

I am reading “Horseshoe in My Hip Pocket,” by Bob Kjos. For those of you who read and enjoyed “A Legend of the Nahanni”, this might be a book you would also enjoy.

We send our condolences to Pat Joyce on the loss of his sister on Christmas day.

I do not normally comment on memorials, but I attended one last week that left me truly humbled. The words of his friends and family came straight from the heart and made us all see a man who was totally accepted and loved for who he was, and the church, that was filled to overflowing, was an obvious tribute to a life well lived.

Aspire to inspire before you expire.
