News from the Valley Neighbours' Club

We had our line dance windup on Dec. 16. We invited the husbands, significant others and friends to join us. We had enough food to feed an army and we had the best time. I love Christmas when we get to do all these extracurricular things.

We had our line dance windup on Dec. 16. We invited the husbands, significant others and friends to join us. We had enough food to feed an army and we had the best time. I love Christmas when we get to do all these extracurricular things. Line dancing resumes at 10 a.m. on Jan. 6 and new dancers are always welcome.

Monday night games night has dwindled in numbers to where we are hard pressed to have one table of bridge. For this reason we will discontinue this activity for the time being. Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon bridge will not be taking a break over the holidays, so come out and participate.

The garden club met on Tuesday to make a centerpiece. Everyone brought some special Christmas treats and it was a fun evening.

I was delighted to see a flock of pine grosbeaks in the trees in my back garden. The males are absolutely spectacular. I certainly hope they stay; I have no end of special treats to entice them.

I stopped in to see Gord Richmond yesterday, he is looking so much better. Stop by for a quick hello, the days get pretty long, I’m sure.

Some of my family is basking on the beach on the Kona coast, but as I look out my window I’m not sure I would trade places. The trees are covered with white frost and it is like a beautiful Christmas card.

I wish you all the best of the season, lots of love and family time. I’m having 22 members of my family coming for Christmas dinner and I can hardly wait.

Good news… as of now the days begin to get longer.
