News from the Valley Neighbours' Club

Our garden club finally got the bluebird house project done. I was so looking forward to it and, at the last minute, I wasn’t able to go. Knowing how disappointed I was to miss out, my neighbour built one for me and left it on my front door step.

Our garden club finally got the bluebird house project done. I was so looking forward to it and, at the last minute, I wasn’t able to go. Knowing how disappointed I was to miss out, my neighbour built one for me and left it on my front door step. Needless to say, I have hung it on my fence and am looking forward to double occupancy. I would even settle for swallows. Thanks to my amazing neighbour.

Mark your calendars for the Lewis Memorial turkey supper on May 16. There will be two sittings, one at 4:30 p.m. and one at 5:30 p.m. Cost is: under six is free, six to 12 is $7 and adults are $12.

The annual Priddis garage sale will be held in the Priddis Hall on Saturday, May 7. Doors open at 8:30 a.m.

Our line dancers had a fun day on Thursday. We danced for the residents of Millrise in the morning, went for pizza and danced for the Evergreen folks in the afternoon. We have two more bookings, but they will have to wait for fall, as we wind up our classes on May 5 for the summer months. Thanks to Ken for his semi patience with our mistakes.

I attended the Sheep River Library opening on Saturday. It was awesome. The ribbon cutting ceremony was short and to the point. The food was fabulous and the tile wall is impressive. We are so fortunate to have this facility in our little town. I am looking forward to the fourth Tuesday of the month “Terrific Tuesday Talks”; the first one will be John Barlow and Thandi Fletcher from the Western Wheel.
