Located in scenic Diamond Valley, the Beneath the Arch Concert Series (BTA) is run by a volunteer driven, non-profit society who brings live music and high-quality artistic entertainment to the community.

Ticket prices are kept low so the community can gather to enjoy these shows. Season and individual tickets are available and there are 7 concerts each season. Check out our line-up and purchase tickets here!

Each artist is backed by excellent acoustics from the skills of a professional sound engineer. The sound is impeccable. As many Canadian artists as possible are brought in performing original music and many are from Alberta. Occasionally BTA brings in acts from the USA and Europe. Well known performers, such as Billy Cowsill, Ian Tyson, Quartette, William Prince, The Brothers Landreth, Chip Taylor, Eivor, and Joel Plaskett have appeared on the BTA stage in the past.

The concert series has provided 35 years of continuous music and is made possible by a large group of music loving, dedicated volunteers.  “The Society was formed in 1988 by a group of local citizens including Myrna Gnyp, Peggy McGill, Judy Lawton, and Jane Toews,” says Richard Toews, Treasurer. “No live music was accessible to families in the area at that time.”

“There are quite a few people who have moved to the community and have credited BTA as being one of the influences supporting their choice to relocate here,” says Toews. “The concert goers contribute to the local economy by supporting local restaurants, hotels, galleries, and other businesses.”

The concert series would not be possible without the generous donations of our sponsors. Local businesses and organizations sponsor each concert with a few sponsoring the whole season. Thank you sponsors!

BTA also supports the kids. Each concert, BTA has a 50/50 draw with proceeds available for bursaries to be awarded to area students. The bursary was designed to enable young performing artists to enhance their experience and skills in a performing arts field.

For the second year, BTA is proud to announce another WIN A CANOE adventure raffle! Prizes totalling over $6400 are generously donated by local businesses and tickets are available at each concert. All proceeds go to the bursary fund and last spring $6000 was awarded to 12 students.

So, when you are looking for an affordable, entertaining evening out, come to Beneath the Arch. All guests have to do is show up, sit back, and let the music take them away. You will see your neighbors and make new friends.
