A total of $15,609 was raised during the Smile Cookie Campaign, which was held Sept. 13-19.

Andrea Mitchell, executive director of the Sheep River Health Trust, said these funds will go towards supporting their children and youth pillar.

Some of the projects that have been funded by this pillar in the past include the school meal program, programs with youth mental health and addiction services, pediatric supplies for diagnostic imaging, Okotoks Urgent Care and the Oilfields Hospital.

Children and youth organizations outside of Alberta Health Services are also supported through these funds, including Rowan House, Inclusion Foothills, Big Brothers Big Sisters and more.
