Jackpot draw in support of local charities

Visit the Western Wheel office during Light Up Okotoks on Nov. 15 for a cup of hot chocolate and your chance to take home a pocketful of cash.

The Wheel will be selling 50/50 tickets for $1 each in support of its annual Wheel Cares fundraising campaign.

This year the campaign supports these eight charities this Christmas: Rowan House Emergency Shelter, Okotoks Pound Rescue, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Foothills Country Hospice, Inclusion Foothills (formerly SNAPS), Okotoks Food Bank, Magic of Christmas and Sheep River Health Trust.

Tickets are available from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and 100 per cent of the money raised goes toward the charity organizations.

Last year's 50/50 winner took home $1,114.
