Man hospitalized after hiking incident in Lake Louise

A man in his 50s involved in a hiking incident that required response from STARS is in hospital in stable condition.

LAKE LOUISE – A man in his 50s involved in a hiking incident that required response from STARS is in hospital in stable condition.

An air ambulance was dispatched to a scene call emergency in the Lake Louise area in Banff National Park around 11 a.m.

“STARS rendezvoused with local first responders at the Lake Louise helipad and transported the patient, a male in his 50s, to Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary in stable condition,” said STARS communications officer Natalie Hofstetter in an email.

She noted the man was transported with injuries consistent with a fall.
