Motorists heading to British Columbia are warned they will face major delays as Highway 1 was closed in both directions around 10 a.m. Friday.
Lake Louise Fire Rescue announced on Twitter the Trans Canada was closed between Field, B.C., and Lake Louise Jan. 14 due to a serious incident.
The cause of the incident and extent of injuries is unknown at this time.
