Okotoks rainbow crosswalk repainted ahead of pride celebrations

Stretch of Elizabeth Street blocked to traffic as rainbow crosswalk at Elk Avenue gets a freshening.

Pride continues to be on display in Olde Towne Okotoks.

The Okotoks pride crosswalk, established in June of 2021, is located at the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Elk Avenue.

The crosswalk was repainted on May 16, necessitating the intersection to be closed for part of the day.

The rainbow renovation comes ahead of 2024 Pride Foothills Wide celebrations at the start of June, including a pride flag raising on June 2 and annual street festival on June 8.
